Habe Deinen Brief und Karte erhalten, meinen herzlichsten Dank dafür, es freut mich, daß es Dir eine Freude gewesen ist und daß die Rosen noch blühen. Aber wie schade daß Du Sonntag gleich Deinen neuen Anzug ruiniert hast. Mir gehts gut hoffentlich Dir auch. Nun kommt bald die Zeit, daß wir uns mündlich was erzählen. Wollte Sonntag auch eine Karte schreiben aber Deine Schwester Martha war mit dabei und da wußte ich micht ab ich davon sagen dürfte.

I received your letter and card, my heartfelt thanks for them. I am happy that it was a joy for you and that the roses are still blooming. What a shame that you ruined your new suit on Sunday. I am well, I hope you are well too. Soon, the time will come that we will be together again and we could have nice talks. I wanted to write to you on Sunday, but your sister Martha was here, and I did not know if I should say something about it.
