Liebe Eltern!
Heute Morgen haben wir glücklich den Dampfer erreicht, in Begleitung Willis. Erst 3/4 11 fuhren wir von Cuxhaven ab. Das Wetter klärte sich bis zum Nachmittag, so daß wir eine herrliche Fahrt bis jetzt haben. Willi erst an Bord angetroffen, Einstweilen schieße mit herzlichen Gruß, Paul.

Viele Grüße aus der Ferne, Euere Elisabeth. Helene hat uns bis an den Zug begleitet. Mir geht es bis jetzt gut.

Dear Parents,
This morning, luckily, we arrived at the steamship escorted by Willi. Only at 10:45 we left Cuxhaven. The weather cleared up in the afternoon, so that we had, up until now a pleasant trip. [We] only met Willi on board. Meanwhile, I close with the best greetings, Paul.
