Für Deine Karte meinen besten Dank. Es hat mich furchtbar gefreut, daß Du noch meiner gedacht hast. Rissikowski ist außerdem noch der einzigste der an mich geschrieben hat. Wir sind jetzt aber vier Diensttuer. Ich bin seit anfang an bei den Rekuten. Mahnkopf ist Feldwebel. Sonst alles beim alten.

Soeben erhielt ich von Meyer aus Cöhn eine Karte. Bis zum Gefreiten hat er es auch schon gebracht. Zu Neugraben soll auch ein kleiner Jäger geblieben sein.

Since the beginning I am still with the recruits. Mahnkopf is now a lieutenant, otherwise everything is still the same.
